Structured black velvet gives the neckline its dramatic height, while scalloped lace panels, cross-shaped motifs and faceted black details create the air of a Victorian relic brought back into the candlelight.

The Story

They said the woman in the portrait had never existed. Yet every midnight, her pale profile turned slowly toward the room, and the black lace beneath the frame stirred as though touched by breath. When the portrait vanished, only the collar remained upon the velvet chair. Whoever fastens it at her throat may hear a quiet whisper behind her: “Now they will remember us both.”
