The Dark Duchess is a hand-crocheted corset belt born from 8 hours of meticulous craft. Every stitch placed by hand. Every piece of guipure lace sewn individually — a process impossible to replicate by machine.

The Dark Duchess

They said she never smiled.

They said she walked the corridors of the old house at midnight, her footsteps silent on the stone floors, her silhouette sharp against the candlelight. They said the roses in her garden bloomed black.

No one knew her name. They called her only the Duchess.

She wore black always — not as mourning, but as armour. A corset laced tight at her waist, guipure flowers stitched by hand into the fabric, each petal a small act of defiance against a world that wanted her soft. The satin ribbon at her back was tied in a bow — the only softness she allowed herself.

She was not cruel. She was simply certain.

Certain of the darkness. Certain of the roses. Certain that some women are not made for sunlight.

On the night they finally came to find her, the candles burned low and the ivy had swallowed the gate. She stood in the garden, back to the door, long hair falling like a curtain between herself and the world.

She did not turn around.

She never did.
